Read MoreCHAI will be holding a focus group for Howard County high school students (or recently graduated), who identify as being South Asian or of multi-ethnic South Asian heritage. Participants will engage in a facilitated discussion to speak about topics from an adolescent perspective that affect their mental health. The topics include self-identity, interpersonal relationships, and other issues relevant to them.
The focus group will be led by our intern, Ghonva, who is a student at University of Maryland herself, and is hosting this as a part of her Social Innovation Scholars project. We hope to create a friendly and confidential environment for the teens to speak with ease and comfort. No parents will be involved in the group. Snacks will be provided, and please let us know about any food restrictions or allergies.
Shoot us an email if you have any questions or are interested in the event.
